HLC Maternal & Family Mental Health Research Center is a community-based nonprofit research and advocacy organization dedicated to improving maternal and family well-being through research, education, community engagement, and resource development. Based in East Alabama, HLC works to identify and address disparities affecting mothers, children, and families by partnering with healthcare providers, educators, community organizations, and local stakeholders.

Our work includes conducting community-based research, hosting focus groups and educational initiatives, supporting families through outreach programs, developing evidence-informed resources, and translating research into practical solutions that strengthen communities. Through collaboration and innovation, we strive to ensure that every family has access to the knowledge, support, and opportunities needed to thrive.
