Miele Manufacturing Inc. is seeking Production Technicians to join the Assembly team at the Opelika Plant. In this role, team members will perform assigned assembly steps for ovens and/or modules according to detailed specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Production Technician I:

• Follow detailed work instructions (SOPs) and meet assembly routing times
• Cross-train in pre-assembly and final assembly operations, including:
  • Mains connections
  • Continuous flow heaters
  • Fascia and viewing screen assembly
  • Door and E-box assembly
• Maintain the highest quality standards for all products
• Follow all PPE and safety requirements
• Perform visual inspections of components (completeness, SKU accuracy, damage)
• Review work orders, production specifications, and technical instructions
• Operate hand tools and basic equipment

Production Technician II:

• Meet all requirements of Production Technician I
• Perform functional testing of assembled ovens using semi-automated test benches
• Complete final packaging operations, including final quality checks

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills for data entry and system use
• Ability to safely operate machinery and tools
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrated understanding of production processes preferred
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Passion for continuous improvement
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
