Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, dependable Cashier to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for many customers, the cashier plays a key role in providing a positive shopping experience. Ideal candidates are personable, detail-oriented, and able to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Operate the cash register and handle all sales transactions accurately
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, and availability
• Assist with bagging items and offering product suggestions when appropriate
• Keep the front register area clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Monitor and restock impulse items and gift cards near the checkout area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
• Maintain knowledge of weekly specials, promotions, and featured items

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Friendly, professional attitude and strong communication skills
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn about store products, including meats and wines
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
