Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our store. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, wine, and customer service, with the ability to lead a team and contribute to a friendly, professional retail environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure staff deliver a welcoming and knowledgeable experience.
• Supervise and train team members in areas such as meat and wine knowledge, food safety, and sales.
• Maintain product displays, manage inventory levels, and assist with ordering and receiving.
• Support merchandising strategies and seasonal promotions to drive sales.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure satisfaction.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of the store in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in retail, food service, or hospitality management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of wine, meat, or gourmet foods preferred (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• ServSafe certification a plus.
