You Should See My Therapist: Craft for Calm

You Should See My Therapist: Craft for Calm

Saturday, July 18, 2026 (9:00 AM - 10:30 AM) (CDT)

Description

Join us for group craft classes on select Saturday mornings. Each session is a chance to step away from screens, settle into a creative project, and spend an unhurried morning making something with your hands. There’s no experience required — just willingness to slow down and play. Working with our hands has a way of quieting the noisier parts of our heads. We’ve found it can be especially helpful when life feels overstimulating or when you just need a different kind of rest. Our practice does clinical mental health work throughout the week, but Craft for Calm is something different — a wellness gathering with a therapeutic spirit, open to ages 16 and older. Bring yourself, your curiosity, and the pace you take on a quiet morning at home. We’ll provide light refreshments, and everything else to craft! What craft will we make at this event? Meditative Watercolor Practice! Slow down with watercolor. Using loose, unhurried washes — no drawing skill needed — we’ll let colors bloom and blend across the card to a soothing sound bath. Watching pigment move through water is half the calm!
