The Sound Wall Jazz Series – American Art Music takes place twice a year, in the fall and spring, and celebrates the artistry and diversity of jazz through immersive weekend residencies with nationally touring artists. In addition to public performances in our intimate listening room, this residency includes a looping masterclass with Sasha Masakowski at Spicer's Music, in-school visit with students in the Opelika city schools and master class at Auburn University, fostering meaningful engagement and arts education in our community.

Jazz vocalist, composer, and producer Sasha Masakowski has gained international recognition for her fearless approach to jazz, blending electronic elements into both her performances and songwriting. She has led projects such as Art Market and Tra$h Magnolia on stages around the world, from Blue Note NYC and SFJAZZ to the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, Cotton Club Tokyo, Copenhagen Jazz Fest, and the Detroit Jazz Festival.
