The Opelika Chamber and the City of Opelika are teaming up to host a Small Business Tax Seminar on Thursday, June 26, at the Opelika Chamber of Commerce. This informative workshop is designed to help small business owners better understand local licensing requirements, inspections, and tax compliance.
The event will begin at 11:00 AM with a panel discussion featuring representatives from Opelika’s Revenue, Planning, Inspections, and Health Departments. Attendees will get a step-by-step overview of the business licensing process and have the opportunity to hear directly from city officials about regulations that may affect their operations.
From 12:00 to 12:30 PM, we’ll break for a complimentary lunch and networking session, giving attendees the chance to connect with fellow small business owners and city representatives in a relaxed setting.
At 12:30 PM, we’ll dive into the Small Business Tax Workshop, led by experts from the Opelika Revenue Department, Avenu Insights, and the Alabama Department of Revenue. Topics will include sales tax, reporting requirements, and tools available to help small businesses stay compliant and informed.
Whether you’re just getting started or have been in business for years, this workshop will provide valuable insights to help you navigate local processes with confidence.
